Who is 365 Sports?

365 Sports is an elite training and international tournament provider for student athletes. We focus on delivering an outstanding summer sports experience filled with advance training techniques and international competition. The history of 365 Sports is an important legacy, in 1984 our first high school team traveled to Europe. How was my child selected for this opportunity?

All athletes are either recommended or referred to be considered for an opportunity with 365 Sports. There are several sources that provide for a student athlete to receive a referral; coaches, local and national sports associations, teammates or from our research division are just a few possibilities. Unfortunately, we cannot determine the exact source for each individual referral.

Do you have references I can contact?

Yes. Please contact our office so we can provide a list of references to you.

 

What is an informational meeting?

We host informational meetings throughout the United States in search of athletes with a passion for their sport.  At this meeting, we present the details that go with this tremendous, international opportunity to train and travel abroad. This informational meeting allows you to meet us, ask questions and learn about our programs. For more information please click meetings.

What if I can't attend a meeting?

The easiest way to obtain information is to attend a meeting.  If you cannot attend, have a parent or other family member attend in your place.  If that is not a possibility, we do host a series of webinar meetings that you can participate in utilizing a computer and from the comfort of your home .

 How do I register for a meeting?

Simple, click RSVP for your meeting for upcoming times and dates.

Can one of my teammates go?

Yes, we encourage you to refer teammates, family and friends. You may also be eligible to win an Ipod touch by enter refer a friend sweepstakes!

When is the application and deposit due?

Your contract will detail the date applicable for your application and deposit, however the enrollment is limited, therefore, each applicant should return the enrollment forms as soon as possible.

If I enroll and cannot attend, are there cancellation fees?

Should an applicant (athlete or accompanying family member) cancel their participation in a 365 Sports program there are cancellation fees.  After application to a program, the cancellation fees increase over time.  The program specific cancellation fee scheduled is described in the program contract and terms and conditions.

 Will we be supervised and what role does the 365 Sports staff have during the tour?

Yes! Safety and supervision is our number one priority at 365 Sports. Each team travels together and will remain as an intact group throughout the duration of the tour. The Head Coach will supervise the team and remain with the student-athletes at all times.  For detailed information visit safety and security.

Will there be medical personnel at the event?

All international tournament programs will have medical personnel at the event. Our larger programs will include athletic trainers that we bring from the United States to assist with our athletes. If you require taping on a consistent basis the athletic trainer will be available however it is important that you bring your own tape and pre-wrap.

Will this program help me to obtain a college scholarship?

Without question, the intense training camp that athletes experience within the 365 Sports Program is not comparable to any traditional training. Athletes are challenged to elevate their game and take with them a training regime, long after the program ends.

What airport do I fly in and out of?

Please refer to  our 2011 programs and select the program itinerary of your destination. Due to the ever changing airline industry, detailed flight itineraries will be available 60 days prior to your departure.

Can I use my frequents flier miles?

Yes, it is possible for you to substitute your frequent flier miles for the air portion of your program.  Please contact the travel department at corporate headquarters to obtain the adjusted pricing details.

Are transfers included if i arrive or depart from a different flight itinerary?

No. Transfers are only included from the specified arrival/departure itineraries for the group airline itinerary.

Can I extend my sports tour beyond the 365 Sports itinerary?

Yes you may extend your travel before or after our itinerary utilizing our Land Only offer. Please contact the travel department at corporate headquarters to obtain details.

Will I need vaccinations to travel to these countries?

No, not to travel to the programs for 2011.

How will the group travel between destinations?

The group travels via motorcoach throughout the destinations.

What if I am not a citizen of the USA?

Citizens of another country are eligible to participate in our programs.  You must check with your country of citizenship to determine and obtain the pertinent travel visas and documents that may be required.

What kind of instruction can I expect?

A common love for youth and athletics brought this group together. Over a period of 22 years we feel like the concept is now nearly perfected. At the core of our experience is unparalleled coaching. From training to education to game philosophy, every step is monitored by coaches who have served their profession at the highest level.  Our coaching staff sports resumes that include multiple professional stints major college coaching experiences, premier level club coaching and even international participation. Each coach is committed to helping each athlete individually raise their performance to the next level.

What ages are appropriate for this adventure?

While we welcome children of all ages on our trips, we recommend that children be at least 6 years of at the time of travel. This recommendation is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the trip, extended hours of daily activity programming, number of internal transports between experiences, and amount of physical activity (e.g. walking) involved. Because each child is different, call our travel department to discuss whether this is the right trip for your little one.

What is the cost of the program?

The cost of each program varies due to the nature of the trip and destination. Please review the program details, funding and contracts for more information

What are the accommodations like?

Depending on the program you enroll accommodations vary from 5 star hotel to university dorms. Your program itinerary will detail the accommodation type.

What type of meals are served on the 365 Sports tour?

Typically breakfast is served each morning in buffet style and offers a variety of dishes. Some included meals on these trips are served buffet style while others offer a limited choice menu. Menu items are subject to change to to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to allow you time to enjoy meals of the country of your choice there are a few meals not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in locations where you have many dining options.

How can I enroll?

An athlete may enroll in a 365 Sports program in one of three ways: mail your completed application to our Corporate Headquarters, register online at www.365sports.org/apply or fax your completed application to 919.941.5619. Steps to get ready for 365 Sports Tour!

• Step 1 Read and review your program of choice. and mark the dates on your calendar.
• Step 2 Review, sign and return all your travel agreements. and required documents.
• Step 3 Check your passport and or applicable entry visa and make sure they are updated.

How can I meet other athletes prior to the program?

365 Sports develops private facebook groups for each program to allow athletes and families to meet others attending the program.  Over the past few years, this has assisted our athletes in developing great friendships and travel companions.

Can my friend and I be roommates?

Yes, it is very common for friends to join the tournament program together.  365 Sports will do our best to accommodate the requests that are submitted in writing and in advance.

What is a gift exchange?

Prior to each competition, a gift exchange occurs.  A gift exchange is the term given when two individuals from differing teams/countries present each other with a "token" gift after a performance.  The gifts are generally small and not expensive (less than $10). These gifts are given from both representatives as a gesture of goodwill and friendship.

When will I know who my coach is?

You will meet your coach for the first time at the United States training camp.  Each coach selected to lead a team with the 365 Sports program will be either a previous or current collegiate, club or professional coach.  Although we do involve a select few high school coaches as extended staff guides, only coaches that meet the 365 criteria will be permitted to coach the athletes. 

Can my parents attend?

Parents can attend most programs 365 Sports has to offer.  Refer to the specific program for more information. Many times, 1/3 of our groups are accompanying adults, children or siblings of the athlete.  It is a great experience for family members to watch their child represent the USA in international competition.

How much spending money should I bring?

Typically, an athlete will bring approximately $400 to provide for any meals not included in the program and spending money.

Are tips included?

Gratuities for your coaches are not included. Based on the quality of service you have received we suggest the following gratuity guidelines. Please note that this is for each member of your traveling party. Per guest/per coach/per day $2.00 USD.

If an emergency at home occurs, how can I reach my child?

All parents will have a copy of the group hotel and itinerary for your child during all times of a program.  Additionally, you may utilize our 24 hour emergency hotline that will provide you with immediate access to our staff for any traveling group.  Our staff will have the ability to reach any child with a message to call home immediately.  Please understand, this 24 hour hotline is available strictly for emergencies.  It is not intended to obtain game results or general information.

Can my family or friends get tickets to the events and tours without enrolling in the program?

Each tournament has different entry requirements. We highly recommend joining our program  when you consider the costs, hassles and uncertainty of traveling on your own you'll discover how a 365 Sports program is like no other international sports program. On every program you can leave most of the details to us and spend your time having the best time. On your own you will spend countless hours of planning and researching each activity, time spent determining your transportation between events and where to go and what to do next. What if 365 Sports cancels the program prior to departure?

365 Sports reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time prior to its commencement for any reason, such as if there are too few student athletes, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the student athletes would,in our opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances(act of God) or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel your trip prior to its departure to its commencement because there are too few guests 1) we will attempt to re-book you on another departure to a destination that encompasses your sport; however if we are unable to rebook you, we will issue you a full refund of your land package price. If your airfare was booked through us we will issue you a full refund of your airfare.
